Experience Hendrix: The Best Of Jimi Hendrix
Customer Reviews:
MY GOD! MY GOD! MY GOD! MY GOD! GET THIS IF YOU HAVE TO SELL YOUR BODY PARTS! All bow down to the Hendrix! You will comply! Hard rock from the 60's(the..60's!) that still rocks hard! "Star Spangled Banner", "Purple Haze", "Voodoo Child"(Hulk Hogan's entry music for several years in the past)"All Along The Watchtower" and a LOT MORE. F'N CLASSIC METAL THAT STILL SELLS! If you released this album even today, it would still sound not completely modern but very, very close. One of the best metal guitarists OF ALL TIME! If you like rock and do not have this collection, may the gods of metal strike you dead! I mean it! Shame on you for not buying this if you don't!

This guy is one of the mose influential guitarists of all time.Alot of bands to come out in the 70's followed his style at various times. Here is another singer we were robbed of,it's a pity he wasn't around longer. There is some great guitar work in his tunes, that inspired people like Mark Knopfler.
There is alot of albums around with Jimi Hendrix, you could spend a fortune collecting them, they must have released everything he ever did.

In 1966 I was watching UK TV programme Top Of The Pops and on came The Jimi Hendrix Experiance with Hey Joe.
Jimi playing his guitar behind his back and with his teeth was sensational to say the least, in fact the whole performance was outstanding.
Missing tracks, I would have liked to had Like A Rollin' Stone and Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
2 of my choices here are Purple Haze and If 6 was 9.
However 3 others are some of the best rock music ever recorded, the aforementioned Hey Joe, the slower and considered The Wind Cries Mary and the barnstorming All Along The Watchtower.
Thanks Jimi.
