Artisans painted the stool by hand with an intricate motif featuring Chinese guardian lions, or Foo Dogs, in light brown and white. A classic symbol of Chinese and Buddhist culture, statues of the lions are often placed outside sacred and important buildings for protection. The stool might similarly be placed at the entryway to a living room, or at the commencement of a garden path. A one-year warranty covers this item from manufacture defects.
