1) Size - Just to give you an idea, I am 6 feet tall, around 240 pounds guy,and I can sit easily in it and on it with my legs little curled. All this means is that if you are shorter than me, you can sometimes even use this as a bed :). Yes this Bean bag is huge when fully expanded.
2) Smell - Some mentioned about smell, well I had also experienced it but it wasn't something that I couldn't sit on it. And it is gone after few days of using.
3) Comfort - Please note that this is not your old school Bean bag means I don't think it has beans in it. It has their own kind of material which expands and contracts but does a good job. So I think the material that person is showing in video is correct but I will not call it trash.
Whole procedure -
It arrived in a not very small box, but still small as compared to the full expanded bag. Looked ghetto to me as it didn't carry any company mark or anything. So well I tore opened the box and took out this and left it to expand. Now if it were beans it would expand right away, but like i said it is not our conventional bean bag so it needs some time to expand. And some time means I kicked it around and let it sit over night.
Next day I saw that big thing sitting in my living room. I use it while I watch TV or play PS3. It is comfortable. It will be compressed when you will sit on it (which it is supposed to do) but will expand after use. One thing I have to say is that since it doesn't have usual beans it it, it doesn't expand right away.
Summary - If you want to buy a big bean bag, this is the one for you. Dont hesitate. I am using it and loving it and dont have any issues. It is big, so make sure you know where you are going to put it. I think for this size of a bean bag, it is worth the money spent.
I have this posted at my bed and have wood floors so it had a tendency to slide a bit, so I picked up a small 3x4 rug undermat and it hasn't slid yet, but it does need fluffing every few days (guessing that's partly due to my weight :/). I work at home on computers and use this thing for around 6 hrs a day and it's very very comfortable, no painful heat retention that used to leave me sweating like the old 80's bean bags that I remember (since it's made of cloth I guess).
2 more things to add:
1- If you have a cat (I have a Maine Coon cat [ie long haired] who sheds quite a bit and also sleeps in the BBag), it will suck up fur like crazy, but that's kinda obvious since you're putting cloth on the ground. For the most part I just run my hand on it and 'clump' up the fur and take it off, and every once in a while I use the Pledge hair/fur remover to really get everything off.
2- After 'fluffing' it up two days ago, the dimensions are now at 4 feet round and 1 1/2 ft high, overall a pretty big piece of 'furniture'.
For me it was either this or a comfortable living room style chair for my room, this was a ton cheaper and probably more comfortable then anything I would have been willing to buy as far as chairs. Granted it's not fancy, but it's practical and comfortable, two of my favorite characteristics in a purchase.
Would absolutely buy this again.
