Many people are saying that this is more of the same, but they say it as if it was a bad thing! The fact that Taylor writes all of her own songs and writes about what she knows is quite an awesome thing, really. What young woman in late adolescence isn't infatuated with being infatuated? Isn't looking for that one true love? Isn't still wanting to believe in fairy tales?
She's real and doesn't pretend to be something she isn't, which is a far cry from Miley Cyrus' terribly makeover attempts to appear older than she really is.
This album is all about transitions. Swift is at a very difficult age, on the precipace of adulthood and just starting to realize that maybe growing up isn't all that glamorous, after all. It's hard, it's ugly, it's painful, but it's inevitable.
Swift offers a real experience for her listeners and is someone you won't mind your daughter listening to. A real treasure!
